IoS-OP
(Internet of Ships Open Platform)
An open platform for orderly data collection,
distribution and utilization
IoS-OP is a universal platform consisting of rules established in the maritime industry and a data center. It was developed in order to enable the sharing of vessel operational data between stakeholders, the sale of usage rights to shipyards and manufacturers, and many other services without data providers losing profit.
IoS-OP strives to make data distribution a cooperative domain focusing on competitive domains such as data-driven innovation and the development of new services. By pursuing new business models and general business improvement, we hope to create opportunities for a new maritime cluster in the digital age that will continue into the next generation.
Along with opportunities for discussion regarding data distribution and its rule establishment, maintenance, and scope of use, the consortium managed by ShipDC members provides participants with access to business matching and test beds.
The IoS-OP Terms of Use consists of basic agreements that all IoS-OP users must follow, and agreements between each stakeholder.
Storing the operational data of vessels onshore in a secure data center, we provide an infrastructure in which necessary data can be accessed at any time. Access-controlled data sharing and the orderly distribution of stored data are made possible by using this service based on IoS-OP.
IoS-OP registered users (SP and PP) and IoS-OP business cases are introduced.
